Tuesday feels like Monday

If anyone happens to read this, keep in mind it is merely the random musings of an overworked, stressed-out middle aged gentleman looking to let off steam. All opinions are subject to change and contradiction, sometimes within the same sentence.

Am I the only one who is completely tired of political backtracking and doublespeak? The latest incident to get me wound up is the estimable Dubwa, our venerated President. (As an aside, I despise and criticize politicians on both sides of the aisle and in Red & Blue states--another phrase I hate--with equal venom.) He refuses to even mention the word deadline in regards to troop withdrawal, but apparently using the euphenism "horizon" isn't the same thing. Can someone explain to him that it is still a timetable for withdrawal, no matter what he calls it, and the American people aren't really as dumb as Mr. Cheney has led him to believe?

I heartily recommend the comedic genius of Jeff Dunham, ventriliquist. His humor is topical, outstanding, and at times refreshingly politically uncorrect. If you are not a slave to political correctness, I would recommend finding his Achmed the Terrorist clip on youtube---but watch it where it is okay to laugh out loud.

Which will happen first at the Olympics--the "disappointment" of a major US star not getting their gold, or an event postponed due to smog conditions?

Saddened by the loss of Randy Pausch over the weekend. His lecture and book truly inspiring. If you haven't seen them, you should. It will make even the most cynical smile : ) .
